Location

The Lido Palace is located in Riva del Garda, a superb resort on the northern shores of Lake Garda in Northern Italy, right in the heart of the spectacular Italian Lakes with their dramatic Alpine scenery. This setting inspired poets from time immemorial, from Catullus to Tennyson. Its unique combination of snow-capped peaks, valleys carved by glaciers during the Ice Age, blue waters and a mild Mediterranean climate make it a sought-after destination.

Where we are

We are half way between Brescia and Verona, and in between Venice and Milan. Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, offers a variety of leisure and sporting activities. In Rovereto, a 40-minute drive into the mountains, is the main branch of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, while in Trento, an hour’s drive away, you can find a Science Museum. Verona, a jewel of Medieval and Renaissance Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is 85 km away near the south of the lake.

The restoration

Its redesign combines immersion in nature, welcoming common areas and intimacy in the rooms through the use of light and views of the surrounding landscape. A new glass hall between the park and gardens and the main neoclassical building, a glass walkway above the gardens – these features bring the natural beauty of our surroundings right into the hotel. The restaurants and outdoor bar even appear to float above the lake. On the neoclassical building, a new top floor of glass and steel houses the suites, which seem to be suspended in the lakeside landscape.
